What’s on the Menu at #MM19UK?

There’s not long to go now until Meet Magento UK 2019 returns to London for the second time! It’s fair to say that we’re extremely excited to see all of our preparations come to life later this week.

Besides the inspiring and innovating talks from some of the brightest minds in the industry, networking with thought-leaders and eCommerce specialists, and the fantastic community spirit that overflows throughout the day – we know there’s something else you’re keen to experience at #MM19UK … the tasty treats!


If you’re travelling from afar, one thing you’ll know about us here in England is that we LOVE our tea breaks! Therefore, making sure our lovely guests are looked after throughout the day and are able to reach their daily recommended intake of tea-infused beverages, is, of course, a top priority of ours.

We’ll have three breaks in total throughout the day, timed perfectly between our talks. Tea, coffee, water, and shortbread biscuits will be served at all break stations located on the Mezzanine, and in the Chillout Room and Sponsor Marketplace.

You’ll also find some top-secret treats served on the Mezzanine during our morning break (10.20am – 11am) and afternoon break (3.40pm – 4.20pm), courtesy of our fabulous Silver Sponsor Akoova – but you’ll have to be there to find out what they are…


After a busy morning of learning and networking, we know just how important it is to fuel the brain and recharge the batteries, ready to take on the remainder of the day!

Lunch will be served between 12.40pm – 2pm, and will consist of five bowl foods per attendee. You’ll all be served with:

x2 hot bowls each:
Spring lamb minted meatballs with penne pasta and tangy tomato sauce with shaved parmesan
– Vegan roasted chickpea and baby vegetable summer stew with fruity couscous (Vg)

x2 cold bowls each:
– Grilled coronation chicken with mango slaw and toasted pumpkin seeds (GF)
– Red Leicester and baby leek tartlet with caramelised red onion and basil jam (V)

x1 dessert bowl each:

– Lemon, mango and passion fruit posset (V) (GF)
– Dark and white chocolate brownie with raspberry chantilly cream (V)

To enjoy these delicious meals, we’re happy to be able to offer our attendees two separate locations to eat, depending on your preferences.

First up, the Sponsor Marketplace on the top floor of the venue offers a large and open space for you to mingle and network amongst friends whilst you dig into your lunch – perfect for those who love the busy buzz of events, and don’t mind standing whilst they eat. Lunch and beverage stations will be served in the centre of the room, however, bowls will be walked around the room by waiters so keep your eyes peeled and don’t be shy to take your five bowls each!

If you’re however looking for a quieter area to eat your lunch, and a space to rest your tired legs, we recommend you head downstairs to the Chillout Room in the Lower River Room. We’ll be setting this room up with tables, chairs, and some comfy bean bags for you to take a seat and enjoy your lunch.
